General Contracting
General Contracting uses the conventional design-bid-build method for project delivery. The project’s design is either underway or completed by an architect or designer and construction is ready to begin. Then, construction companies like Principle bid to win the project.
General Contracting with Principle
General Construction is often chosen when a project’s price is of utmost importance or when an Owner requires multiple bids. As the General Contractor, we employ skilled craftsmen and manage all trade contractors. Our site supervisor manages safety, schedule and subcontractor activities.
How Does Principle Approach The Bidding Process
During the General Construction phase, bidding processes can range from open bidding to hard bidding. We typically employ a hard bidding process (also known as competitive bidding); this process involves three to five construction managers who bid on the project. This ensures that attractive, cost-effective bidding occurs and keeps your bottom line low. Generally the lowest bid offered is chosen.
