Ridley Lake Park
Ridley Lake Park is a 44-acre development for the City of LaGrange that will bring new recreational space to the community. The site will feature walking trails, open areas, and a playground overlooking the lake. Our team is currently managing construction, coordinating design details, and preparing the grounds for public use.

Ridley Lake Park

LaGrange Police Department Additions & Renovations
The City of LaGrange hired Principle and Smith Design Group for this phased project. Phase One consisted of adding an evidence room, offices, uniform storage, locker room, weight room, and evidence vehicle storage underneath the existing LPD parking garage. Exterior improvements included a new facade around the structure, new lighting, and landscaping.
Phase Two consisted of a new parking lot, additional exterior enhancements, and renovations to the first and second stories of the LPD Building.
Phase Three consisted of renovations to the third floor where the detectives’ offices, interrogation rooms, meeting rooms and various offices are located.

Fire Station #5
Fire Station #5 is the newest station in LaGrange, Georgia and is a Command Post to be used for Emergencies and Natural Disasters. It is centrally located in the City and is directly across the street from WellStar West Georgia Health Center. The 7,800 SF facility has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, command offices, gym, and a state-of-the-art communication system. The exterior is accented by the 32 foot tall tower with white cast stone and a two-story glass façade. The original pole was saved from Station One when it was demolished and installed in Fire Station #5 thus adding a meaningful piece of history to the new station.

Government Center Renovations
Principle was hired to renovate portions of the 13 story Government Center for the Columbus Consolidated Government. A completely new fire suppression system was added along with renovations to each floor.

Government Center Renovations

Courtroom 3C Buildout
Principle recently built out a new courtroom on the 3rd floor of the Troup County Government Center for the Troup County Commissioners. The project involved Renovations and Additions converting an existing shell into a New Courtroom for Troup County Superior Court located in the Troup County Government Building.
The new work included new finishes and seating for approximately 103 persons, new Judges bench and Witness stands, and new Jury benches.
The Courtroom is supported by a new Conference Room and Restroom for Judge and Attorneys, and new access from the Courtroom to an existing Corridor containing Judicial support Offices, and new access to an adjacent Courtroom.

911 Command Center
The Chambers County 911 Command Center features state-of-the-art technology housed in a large concrete bunker with bullet proof doors and walls. It has three levels of redundancy to prevent any loss of power. All local EMS personnel are able to communicate with one another via this facility during a storm or emergency.

Granger Park Playground Renovation
The new Granger Park Playground project consists of complete renovations to an existing 1.5-acre playground in LaGrange, Georgia. This SPLOST funded project features new playground equipment and furnishings, 36 ft. pavilion with picnic tables, oval tricycle path, entrance trellis, unique boardwalk structure, new parking lot with handicap access, new landscaping with added flowers and trees, and a walking trail with direct connection to the thread.

Roanoke Road Fire Station #14

Lincoln Dallas Streetscape
This project involved rerouting two roads and light poles to make room for a new City of LaGrange outdoor streetscape. Six retail stores were affected during construction an Principle worked with each to minimize entrance blockages during construction. A new fountain and sign was added at one end of the project.

Leon Pitts Tennis Center Renovations
Principle renovated the two story Leon Pitts Tennis Center for Troup County Government to create a large pavilion that surrounds the restrooms and storage rooms on the first floor and Pro office on the second floor. The outdoor seating area surrounds the center offices which makes the courts easily visible. Tables and chairs allow onlookers to enjoy watching tennis from a bird’s eye view.

Meriwether County Fire Stations
Principle Construction was hired as Construction Manager to design and construct fire stations in Woodbury, Durand, Odessadale, Lone Oak, The Cove, and Luthersville. Meriwether County created a new Fire Tax District to provide funds for their new fire station program.

Historic Mulberry Street Cemetery Enhancements
Principle teamed with Visit LaGrange and the City of LaGrange for this very unique project to enhance the Historic Mulberry Cemetery. Included was a serpentine walkway, large pavilion, smaller pavilion in the center of the 300 grave confederate portion of the cemetery, landscaping and 1,005 grave markers for unmarked graves. The new graves had recently been located.

The 163-year-old Mulberry Street Cemetery tells a significant story of the early days of the City of LaGrange. The project included adding interpretive elements, extensive landscape, a boardwalk, grave markers, and a pathway while not disturbing the more than 1,300 graves. Principle Construction was a key part of the project team and we couldn’t have done it without them. They were respectful of the grounds during construction as well as to the people who stopped by wanting information on the project. Due to their efforts, today the cemetery is a showplace for everyone to learn about the history of LaGrange.

Harris County Public Works Facility
Principle worked with Harris County and McMillian Pazdan Smith Architects to build a new Public Works Facility. The building was 4,000 SF and includes offices for County personnel. A pole barn was built for vehicle storage.

Harris County Fire Station
The Northwest Harris County Volunteer Fire Department hired Principle to conduct planning, preconstruction, design and construction of this 7,000 SF rural fire station. Principle worked with the owner to achieve their budget. Construction was completed in three months. The facility includes two bays, a kitchen and living quarters.

Town of Pine Mountain Public Works Facility
The Town of Pine Mountain hired Principle to build a new Public Works Facility. Principle ordered and erected a Pre-Engineered Metal Building and built out offices, restrooms, interior storage and storage for mowers and tractors under a large overhang outside the building.
