The Troup County Library Board of Trustees hired Principle to renovate 16,000 square feet existing facility and add an additional 8,000 square feet. The total cost was $6.7 million which include meeting rooms, children’s areas, reading nooks, outdoor play area, and offices. Innovative design solutions include: Graphic design elements including colorful wall graphics to enhance learning, digital media center aimed at enhancing digital literacy among students, multiple different types of workstations are designed to promote collaboration and active learning.

Principle Construction successfully led our Preconstruction effort to reduce cost to allow us to build the new library.  They conducted multiple value engineering exercises, suggested alternative materials, and worked diligently to find the right subcontractors to help reduce costs.  In the end we got the best building for the money spent thanks to the Principle team.  Their Superintendent was the best that I have ever worked with.  They kept our board apprised of where the project was at every stage.  Today LaGrange has a state-of-the-art library for the residents of Troup County to enjoy.

This new 30,000 SF office connects to the 280,000 SF manufacturing space for RemArms.  Principle was hired as Construction Manager for the project.  Included are offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, and cafeteria.

Project Mustang is a new data center being built by Google.  Construction Manager Holder Construction hired Principle as a subcontractor to assist with portions of the work.  To date Principle has completed a two story, 30,000 SF office renovation, renovated and builtout a large breakroom, and made other upgrades in the existing 400,000 SF facility.

LaGrange Academy hired Principle to design and build a new science lab for their middle and high school students.  The existing lab was completely gutted and a new floor and ceiling was added.  New gas and water lines were installed along with new floor grates.  Cabinetry for a teacher and 16 students and wall cabinets were added.  The project was done during two summer months.

This project involved planning a new retail store on Main Street in downtown LaGrange, Principle was hired to re-roof the entire building which consisted of three different roofs, repair rusted metal studs in exterior walls, renovate several offices and repave the parking lot. Principle was hired to help plan, design and build the new event hall at Camp Viola. The existing dining hall had become structurally unsound so it was demolished while designs for a new event hall were planned. The new facility includes a multi-purpose large room that can be used for dining during camp, weddings and events, a commercial kitchen, restrooms, bathrooms, three bedrooms and a large porch on two sides. A new basketball court and landscaping were added.

This historic building was constructed in 1875 on the square in downtown LaGrange, Georgia. It is the oldest remaining building on the square. In 1898 a room was added to the front and a Mesker Brothers decorative metal storefront was added to the building which is still in tact today and gives the building its ornate look. Principle Construction restored and renovated the building in an effort to prevent demolition and preserve the historic character of downtown LaGrange. The Davis building features a basement and two floors above ground. A steel frame was added inside the load bearing walls. An EIFS system was applied to the exterior. The project owner is United Investors, project architect was Smith Design Group, and the project engineer was Stothard Engineering.

The first floor now houses a boutique and the second floor houses Lafayette Loft.

Striffler Hamby Funeral Home hired Principle to renovate several large areas. Included in the renovations were meeting rooms, large gathering rooms, restrooms, and a family dining room. New plumbing, electrical, floor covering, ceilings, paint, and casework were all part of the project. The funeral home had to stay in operation throughout the entire project so special care was taken by the construction team and subcontractors.

Principle was hired to build out The Estate at Elegant Occasions Event Center in Hogansville, Georgia. The project consisted of a new groom’s suite, office areas and additional storage for event tables and accessories. In the main event center room ornamental metal was added to the ceiling, new doors and fixtures including two chandeliers, windows, and new painting and staining were completed. The 3,700 SF Event Center can host events accommodating up to 120 people.
